First Time Visit
Come in with clean, dry skin. Do not apply lotions, oils, deodorant, fragrances, or other skincare products prior to your service. Exfoliate your skin over 24 hours before your service.
Similar to waxing, sugaring pulls out your hair from the root. However, unlike waxing, sugaring removes hair in the direction of hair growth instead of against it. Many people experience less pain and discomfort with sugaring than they do with waxing. However, hair removal of any kind can be uncomfortable if you are not currently in a maintenance cycle with having it removed.
We recommend that you wait 4-6 weeks from your last appointment or at least 2 weeks after shaving. While we can technically remove hair as short as 1/16th of an inch, we recommend that hair be at least 1/8th to ¼ inch for best results.
After your appointment you will want to avoid the sun for 24-48 hours and you will want to keep the skin dry and friction-free for 24 hours. When you come in for your first appointment, we will consult with you about particular products that we recommend for sugaring aftercare.
We ask that all new clients come to our studio 5 minutes prior to their first appointment so that we can have you fill out our health history form.
While we love children AND pets, it is not safe or fair to our other clients for you to bring animals (other than service pets) or children under 12 years of age into our studio. If you arrive with unlicensed pets or children under 12, we will have to reschedule your appointment and you will be charged 50% for the last minute change.
Inform our staff if you have:
Used any cosmetics or skincare products that contain Glycolic Acids, Lactic Acids or Retin-A within the last 48 hours
Any allergies or sensitivities to ingredients, products for foods
Had a chemical peel within the last 2 weeks
Received any Laser Resurfacing
A sunburn in the area you want sugared
Will be traveling to a sunny area within 48 hours of your appointment
Diabetes and are using skin thinning medication
24 Hours after your service Do Not:
Exercise heavily or use a sauna (avoid friction and sweating!)
Use products outside of what we’ve recommended
Swim or use communal bathing areas
48 Hours before & after your service Do Not:
Use a Tanning Bed with UV Lights or Expose yourself to the sun for more than 15 minutes at a time
Spray Tan (sugar will exfoliate your new tan away!)
